Vince Vaughn is a Legend In My Eyes – by Dawn Cady

Vince Vaughn is a Legend In My Eyes

Vince Vaughn is a very funny man. In fact, in 2005 he was dubbed one of the funniest men in the world. At that time, he had some of the all-time funniest films. My personal favorite is Wedding Crashers which contained highly inappropriate behavior – I like the shock value in it! And as any high achiever, we peak and then we slow down and other people grow beyond where we have paved. This is what life is about, we pave the way so others know it’s possible to achieve their dreams.

So what do we do to these amazing people? We write social media and blog posts calling them a flop or a failure after they have reached points that many of us cannot even conceive. The story of Vince is no different. His last few films were not box office hits. So what? Let’s think about it for a moment. How many films nowadays are box office hits? Not many! Why? Because of online streaming services such as Netflix and Stan. They’re creating their own movies so we don’t have to leave our homes.

Now, why am I sharing this? Because we all ebb and flow, we all go through stages in our lives. No matter who we are or where we are in life, we have our peaks and we have our lows. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Vince. He is incredibly witty, charming and has not lost his talent. He is human – no different from you or me and we forget that.

Life is about making choices. Some choices we make are not great and they have consequences. Some are life-changing and allow us to grow exponentially.

We Are All Unique.

So the moral of the story is never ever compare yourself to another as we are all unique. Do you know exactly what another person has been through or do they know what you have been through? Probably not! So how can we judge without all the facts? We are all in the same boat – we are no different. We are all here to leave a legacy. We are here to do the best we can and to bring happiness to as many people as possible. Don’t forget that that is our purpose.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • What’s your legacy? Is it to raise beautiful children who are kind and caring? Write a book? Or have you never thought you could?
  • Are you doing the best you can?
  • Are you living the life you expected to live when you were younger? Or are you allowing emotional and physical pain to rule your life?
  • Are those around you happy to be in your company?

Vince decided he would bring laughter to the world as his legacy. What will yours be? Mine is to reduce suffering in the world, so we can all be happier!
